Basics
There are 100 tiles in scrabble. 98 of the tiles are letters from the alphabet. Each of these letters has its own point. The two remaining tiles are blank tiles that can be as any letter to construct the word you want to make. The blank tile will represent the same letter for the entire game. There are five different spaces on the board where you will put your word tiles. The spaces are Triple word, Double word, Triple letter, Double letter and blank spaces. Except for the blank spaces, the rest if the types of spaces can multiply the points that is on the word tile. You will find 225 space on the board with 15 columns and 15 rows.
Game Play
The game starts with each player picking up 7 random tiles from a bag. They should not look as they pick up the tiles. Then, they put these tiles on a rack where the other players will not be able to see it. The players will then choose a player to play first, then they will take turns in playing. The turns they take must be clockwise. The player who is on turn must construct a word from the tiles on his or her rack then put it on the board spaces. One of the letter that the first player puts on the board must be placed in the center of the board. The next player must use one of the letters that the prior player placed on the board and so on. After creating the word, the player can then replace the words on his or her rack by picking up new ones from the bag without looking. The player can take four tiles and the player may also pass their turn if they can not create any word at all. Keep note of the scores of each player through out the game. Watch out for the tiles that may multiply the points on the word tile. If a player uses all 7 word tiles he or she has on the rack, then the player will receive 50 points as bonus.
End
The game will only end if the tiles in the bag are all used or if a player passes twice consecutively. Add up the score in the tally sheet. Add up the points in the word tile left in the rack and subtract it on the score of the player. The player with the highest score wins the game.
